There are several ways to search for an employee record in Beacon HR.


Search Bar

The easiest method to find an employee record will be to type some or all of the employee's first or last name, or the NED ID into the application's universal search bar. 


A list of matching names will populate as you type the employee name. Select the employee name to be taken to the employee record.  



Position List Search


You can also use the data grid to find an employee's record. Click the employee's name to navigate to their employee record. 


To help find an employee you may want to use an advanced filter.

For example, you can use the employee name filter to search for employee names that contain the last name you are looking for. In the below example, the search provided will find all employees that contain the name smith in their last name.


Position Record Navigation Features


Once on an employee record, you can use the navigation icons to move between employees from your home page report. 

Use the left and right icons to move to the next employee found on the data grid. In this example based on the data grid found above in this article if you were on Keith Argron's record then the left arrow would navigate to Marijeanne Abbis record and the right arrow would navigate to Manuel Baungartner

The double left arrow will navigate you to the first person found on the front position list page and the double right arrow will navigate you to the last person found on the home page list. 


If your home page search contains multiple pages then the paper with an arrow icon will navigate you forward and back on the pages of the home page. For example, in the screenshot below we are on the 2nd of 3 total pages of results. The paper icon with the left arrow will take you to results for the first page and the paper icon with the right arrow will take you to page 3. 


The last navigation icon lists a copy of the home page report list for you to jump directly to an employee record. You can also utilize the search bar feature to filter names. Clicking on the position title or name will take you to that employee's position record.

The last navigation icon also contains an option to review your search history and navigate back to the employee you previously reviewed. Click the history list tab from the drop-down and select an employee from the list.
