Overview
CANs and Summary Accounts can be deleted from any view. If an account is deleted at the Master View level it will be removed entirely from the database. However, if new activity hits the account in the future (a new obligation or pending transaction) then the account will be automatically downloaded.
If you delete an account at a child view level it will only be deleted from that view as well as the grandchildren of that view. However, the account will not be removed from any parent views including the Master view
If you delete a Summary Account all CANs located in the folder will also be deleted
When you delete an account a confirmation pop-up message will appear listing all child accounts that are affected.
How to Delete an Account
There are three options to delete an account
Option 1: Check mark the account(s) to be deleted and click the red trash can icon
Option 2: Drag and Drop the account(s) into the red trash can icon. Tip: You can check mark multiple accounts before picking up an account title and dragging all checked accounts to the trash can icon.
Option 3: Right-click an account title and click Remove this Account. note that this only works for one account at a time.
Regardless of the option you select a confirmation window will appear identifying the subviews that will be affected by removing this account. If you are confident that you can delete this account click Yes, Delete Accounts
Tip: Occasionally after deleting an account the Grid will appear to freeze while processing the action (see screenshot below). Do not worry the account has successfully been deleted. However please re-load the screen to continue making additional edits. Otherwise, you can navigate away from the screen and all changes are automatically saved
