Beacon HR Download Information
The standard sources from which Beacon HR currently downloads are HRDB, FPS, NED, and FSA Atlas. For IC's that have a version of VEDs, Beacon HR can also initially transfer information from this source. If an IC has an additional or alternative source from which they would like to download, please contact the NetComm, Inc. development team. For each of these sources, only IC specific information is downloaded.
- HRDB is Beacon HR's source for information about general hire employees, including General Schedule, General Wage, Commissioned Officers, and others. The official data that is stored in HRDB, including payroll information, is available for each employee and can be viewed by those users with corresponding access privileges.
- FPS Information about visiting fellows, including their stipend and sponsorship information
- NED is used as a source to download information about contractors and other special volunteers. Because these are not direct hire employees, there is no payroll or FTE information available for these employees. Beacon HR also pulls in locator information from NED for every employee that is stored in Beacon HR and who has a corresponding NED ID.
- FSA Atlas Beacon HR downloads VISA information, as available for an employee.
- VEDS records are downloaded to Beacon HR and merged to an existing official record from HRDB, FPS, or NED, if available. If no official record can be matched, the VEDS record is stored in Beacon HR as a new record.
Users can hover their mouse over the Database Icon from the blue header bar to find explicit details on the download information for each data source.
